I’d say 9’s are a great compromise in terms of playability and tone

I play Jazz with mine but I think that everyone needs a Jazzmaster. What a versatile guitar.

I don't have a 6 string and can't really hear the difference. But I love the Telecaster. I loved Jeff Beck amongst guitarists a he played many guitars.

I believe Jimmy recorded that tune with his Tele. I had both and ditched the Les Paul. Got three Telecasters now.

Just to be a pain, I prefer the neck pickup on the burst and the bridge pickup on the gold top.

Both sound great but I'm leaning towards the goldtop. Thicker sound to my ears.

The gold top has a more metallic tone. The burst sounds brighter. If you're a serious musician, you need to own both.

I just finished my TBX and mid range boost about two months ago. I didn’t have to spend $2000 by doing my own mod to my existing Stratocaster. The mod kit was less than $60 for the kit. It was not hard to do the Mod.

Nice! I'm a Strat lover. My main Strat (98 Am Std), has a JB Jr single-size humbucker on the bridge. I love being able to get single tone, and full humbucker as well. I have the middle tone modded as a volume fader for the inner coil, so instead of one or the other, I can dial up anything in between single and humbucker. I often have in between for a P90-ish sort of tone, not too thin but gritty.

I loved that story about that 2017 Lp gold top. So glad you got it after all. Hey the way you played it afterwards was amazing. What a cracking guitarist and musician. I'm on Andy Crowley and Mike Bradley's masterclass course. Bern with these guys nearly 3 years and what I've already learnt is amazing. I will continue daily for hopefully many more years. @Mike Bradley absolute love the video man Just question I have existing mic on my combo in room that goes into input interface the other end of that goes into splitter off my pedal board so that your regular output pedal board can go to real room amp if I use amp is that sound of my existing sound isolated come through into daw plugin without speaker effectively I want real amp on one channel an the isolated recording of it without room ambience like bass amp DI without mic thanks man much appreciated

I used to use Dean Markley medium gauge, the one in the orange package, with a 20 gauge wound third. They don't make them anymore. Used to use them for tuning stability.

You should definitely get any a Gibson SG it sounds great when you play something on it`.

Great playing and demo of the guitar I hate when people play some kind of elevator music you really show what it can do I been having my guitars built by Dean Fraser for the last 10 years and out of impulse I bought this guitar and I haven’t got it yet I was really pissed they gave you a gig bag with it but I’m just a old grouch I guess but in the old days lol! When you bought a guitar you got a case great job you are across the pond if I can figure it out I’ll send you a video of my Fraser you have to check them out such great guitars I hope I really like it
